How Much Does a Bespoke Suit Cost in Bangkok?

October 21, 2026

A bespoke suit at Country Road Fashions starts from 8,000 THB. The final price depends mainly on the cloth you choose, how the jacket is built, and the finishing details you add. Most suits are ready in about 2 to 3 days when the cloth is available, and you can schedule fittings.

In Bangkok, prices run from promotional offers to luxury cloth, so a single number tells you very little. This guide explains what our prices include, what changes them, and how to compare quotes fairly, so you can choose with confidence.

Key takeaways

  • Starting price: from 8,000 THB.
  • Timeline: about 2 to 3 days once the cloth is available and fittings are arranged.
  • What moves the price: cloth, construction, details and the number of garments.
  • How to compare: look at what each quote includes, not only the starting price.

What does a bespoke suit cost in Bangkok?

Our suits start from 8,000 THB. Cloth is the biggest variable, followed by construction and finishing details. The table shows how our price levels work.

Tier Price Cloth Best for
Entry From 8,000 THB Wool Blends Everyday office wear, a first bespoke suit
Mid-range From 15,000 THB Pure Wools, Super 110s Frequent wear, wider cloth choice
Premium From 20,000 THB Named-mill cloth such as Zegna, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Dormeuil, and more Special occasions, a long-term investment

Where this sits in Bangkok

Advertised starting prices for made-to-measure and bespoke suits in Bangkok generally begin at around 6,000 THB at entry level and reach roughly 13,000 to 17,500 THB at established ateliers, based on publicly listed prices reviewed in October 2026.

Starting prices usually apply to entry-level cloth, so premium fabrics, canvas construction, and extra details cost more.

Very low promotional prices usually mean simpler cloth, simpler construction, or fewer fittings. That is not always a problem for a single event, but it is worth knowing before you compare.

What is included in the price?

A suit price should cover the whole process, not only the cloth. At Country Road Fashions, the price of a suit includes:

  • A consultation to talk through how and where you will wear it
  • Measurements, and a pattern made for you
  • Two fittings, so we can check the shoulders, balance and length before collection
  • Fitting alterations before you collect
  • Standard lining and buttons
  • Pressing and a garment bag

Extras such as a waistcoat, a second pair of trousers, shirts or ties are priced separately unless they are part of a package. If something matters to you, ask for it to be written into the quote before any cloth is cut.

What affects the price of a suit?

Four things move the price: the cloth, the construction, the details and the number of garments.

Cloth

Cloth is usually the largest part of the cost. Price follows the fibre, the mill, the weave and the weight. A finer wool is not automatically a better suit: a higher Super number means finer fabrics, not necessarily more durability or a better fit for your life (our guide to Super numbers).

For Bangkok's heat, lightweight cloths such as Zegna Tropical 261 or linen are popular choices, while Zegna Trofeo is known for its soft handle and smooth finish. Cloth from named mills such as Zegna is priced above our entry-level cloths.

Construction

How the jacket is built affects its drape, comfort, and how it ages. Fused construction bonds the interlining to the cloth with adhesive and costs less. Canvas construction uses a sewn layer that shapes the chest and lapel, and it usually adds cost.

Half-lined and fully lined jackets also differ in weight and price (half-lined vs fully lined). For a wider comparison, see luxury suits vs regular suits.

Details and upgrades

Details make a suit personal, and some change the price: hand-finished Milanese buttonholes, natural horn buttons, pick stitching, and artwork linings such as Officine Paladino. Choose these once the fit and the cloth feel right.

Number of garments

A three-piece suit with a waistcoat costs more than a two-piece. A second pair of trousers is a practical addition, because trousers usually wear faster than jackets.

How long does a bespoke suit take, and can it be rushed?

Most of our suits are ready in about 2 to 3 days, as long as the cloth is available and your fittings can be scheduled. A typical order runs like this:

  1. Consultation, cloth and measurements. We talk through how you will wear the suit, you choose the cloth, and we take your measurements.
  2. Fitting. You try the jacket and trousers so we can adjust the shoulders, balance and length.
  3. Final check and collection. We confirm the fit and press the suit, and you collect it.

Some orders take longer: cloth that has to be ordered in, extra fittings, several garments at once, or a busy period. We would rather tell you honestly when a suit needs more time than hand over something that does not fit.

If you are visiting Bangkok, book your first appointment early in your stay and leave a spare day before your flight. That gives us room to make a final adjustment without rushing you.

What extra costs should you check?

A low headline price can grow once the extras are added. Before you order, ask about:

  • Alterations after approval. Fitting adjustments before collection are one thing; design changes after approval or changes to your body size are another.
  • Shipping. If you are flying home before the suit is finished, ask who arranges and pays for shipping and for corrections.
  • Express work. A faster turnaround may cost more, and it is not always possible with premium cloth.
  • Extra garments. Waistcoats, spare trousers, shirts and ties are usually priced separately.
  • Upgrades. Special buttons, linings, monograms and hand-finished details.

Ask for the total in writing, so the price you agree is the price you pay.

How do you compare quotes from Bangkok tailors?

Compare like with like: the same garments, the same cloth category, the same lining, and the same deadline. Then ask each shop seven questions and get the answers in writing.

  1. What garments are included? Jacket, trousers, waistcoat, and any extras.
  2. What exactly is the cloth? Fibre, mill or supplier, and weight.
  3. How is the jacket built? Fused, half-canvas or full canvas, and how it is lined.
  4. Who makes the pattern? Ask whether it is drafted for you or adjusted from a standard block, and whether it is kept for future orders.
  5. How many fittings are included? And when, so you can correct the fit before you collect.
  6. What costs extra? Alterations, delivery, express work and upgrades.
  7. What happens after collection? Further adjustments, and support if you live overseas.

A price that cannot be explained against these questions is a price to be careful with. Our guide to choosing a good tailor in Bangkok covers the warning signs in more detail, and our first-timer's guide walks through what to expect on your first visit.

Is a bespoke suit worth the cost?

It is worth it when you will wear the suit often, or when standard sizes never quite fit. A suit made to your measurements follows your shoulders, posture and proportions, so it feels easier to wear and looks better on you.

Cost per wear puts the price in perspective. As an illustration, a suit that starts from 8,000 THB and is worn 50 times costs 160 THB per wear, before cleaning or alterations. That is an example, not a promise about how long a suit will last.

For a single event, a simpler suit may be all you need, and we will say so. For regular wear, comfort, fit, and the way a suit holds its shape matter more than the lowest number on the quote.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a bespoke suit cost in Bangkok?

Bespoke and made-to-measure suits in Bangkok generally start at around 6,000 THB at entry level and reach 13,000 to 17,500 THB or more at established ateliers. At Country Road Fashions, suits start from 8,000 THB. Cloth, construction, and details set the final price.

Can I get a suit made in Bangkok for less than 8,000 THB?

Yes, some shops advertise lower promotional prices. These usually mean simpler cloth, simpler construction or fewer fittings. Compare what each quote includes before deciding, especially if you plan to wear the suit often.

How long does a bespoke suit take?

About 2 to 3 days when the cloth is available, and fittings can be scheduled. Premium cloth, extra fittings, several garments or a busy period can take longer, so book early in your stay.

How many fittings are included?

Your suit includes 1-2 fittings, so we can check the shoulders, balance, and length before you collect it.

Are alterations included?

Adjustments needed to perfect the fit before collection are included. We include 1-2 fittings depending on your timeline.

Is it cheaper to have a suit made in Bangkok than at home?

It depends on the cloth, construction, and fittings you compare. Bangkok offers a wide range of prices, so judge value by what the quote includes and how the suit is made, not only by the headline number.

Can you ship a suit overseas?

Yes: once your suit is finished, we pack it and ship it to you. State countries, cost, and timing. Tell us your travel dates, and we will plan the fittings around them.

What is the difference between bespoke and made-to-measure?

Bespoke traditionally means a pattern drafted for you and refined through fittings. Made-to-measure adjusts an existing pattern to your measurements. Shops use both terms loosely, so ask who makes the pattern and how many fittings are included.

At Country Road Fashions, we make bespoke suits only. Each pattern is drafted for you from your measurements and refined through your fittings, so the suit is shaped around you and not adjusted from a standard block.
